Strengthening Livestock Services Through VDC–Livestock Department Linkages
PVDP Sindh held a Quarterly Linkages Development Meeting with the Livestock Department to strengthen collaboration and improve livestock health services in rural communities. Under the project titled "Strengthening Remote Village Communities to Create Healthy Livelihoods in Rural Sindh, Pakistan," supported by action medeor e.V., the Participatory Village Development Programme (PVDP) Sindh organized a Quarterly Linkages Development Meeting between the Village Development Committee (VDC) Cluster and the Livestock Department at the PVDP office in Mirpurkhas. The meeting aimed to strengthen coordination and establish sustainable institutional linkages between the Livestock Department and the VDC Cluster to improve access to livestock health services in the project target villages. Discussions focused on planning and ensuring the timely implementation of livestock vaccination campaigns, enhancing collaboration, and addressing common animal health issues affecting rural communities. During the meeting, the Deputy Director of the Livestock Department reaffirmed the department's commitment to supporting the project by providing livestock vaccines, technical assistance, and professional guidance whenever required.

Grosche Field Visit to Project Villages
Grosche representatives visited project villages in Mirpurkhas to observe Bio-Sand Nadi Filters, household latrines, and hand pumps, and learn about their impact on community health and well-being. PVDP Sindh was honored to welcome our valued guests from Grosche, Mr. Helmi and Mrs. Mehreen, during their field visit to Mirpurkhas. The team visited four project villages: Jeevraj Kolhi Irfan Ali Shah Sukho Patel Natho Bhagat The visit focused on observing the use and impact of Bio-Sand Nadi Filters, household latrines, and hand pumps installed to improve access to safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene. Community members shared how these interventions have contributed to better health, reduced waterborne diseases, and improved their daily lives. The guests also engaged with community members, experienced their daily lifestyle and local culture, and learned about their resilience, traditions, and aspirations. PVDP Sindh sincerely thanks Grosche, Mr. Helmi, and Mrs. Mehreen for their continued support and partnership in creating lasting positive change in rural communities.
